Recognize the fact that you cannot let him help you that much when it comes to planning out what your invitations would look like and so on. This does not mean that you count him out totally. To make the wedding special, give your man the value that he deserves, (yes, even if he is not that very cooperative because again, it is not his thing), include things that he loves.
So for example, he loves music from Bon Jovi and the like, why not use it as your first dance? Remember that the experience has to be a shared one, something that will include favorite things of yours and his. Another one is including his favorite drinks or food.
